Socket Fusion

FUSIONMASTER® bush and spigots are used to fuse socket fittings to PE, PP and PVDF pipe.

Teflon® coated socket tools are available to suit 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 75, 90 and 110mm pipe. They bolt directly to a hot plate.

A socket machine (pictured) is used to ensure the heated parts are held motionless during heating, fusion and cooling. Use of a socket machine is generally specified when joining pipe and sockets greater than 50mm diameter. Not following this practice greatly increases the chance of joint failure.

Dixon Industries is a Licensed Industrial Applicator of Du Pont's range of Teflon® products and provides a re-coating service for socket tool non-stick surfaces.
